Milsons Point Yoga

A group practicing yoga in a modern gym environment

Weekend yoga at 98 Gym Milsons Point · All levels welcome

Milsons Point Yoga offers weekend classes for all levels at 98 Gym Milsons Point, led by three teachers who each bring something genuinely different to the mat. Tanya draws on her background as both a vinyasa teacher and Professor of History to help practitioners understand not just how they move, but why — blending intellectual curiosity and lived experience to build strength, stability and self-awareness. Kris brings a flowing, mindful energy shaped by six years of practice across Vietnam and Thailand, creating a supportive space where movement and stillness sit comfortably side by side. Emily has spent a decade using yoga as an anchor through life's noise, and her classes are an invitation to move with intention, reconnect with your breath and come back to yourself. Together they offer something for everyone — whether you're a runner, a gym regular, or simply someone curious about what yoga can do for you.

This class is made for…

Runners

Release tight hips, hamstrings and calves. Move better, recover faster, run longer.

Yoga Beginners

Never tried yoga? Perfect. All levels genuinely welcome — complete beginners especially.

Gym Members

Build the mobility and stability your strength training demands. Recover smarter.

Anyone & Everyone

Breathe, move and build a more resilient body. No experience needed. Just show up.

In a world that pulls us endlessly outward — towards screens, noise and distraction — yoga offers something quietly radical: the chance to turn inward, reclaim your breath and rediscover the one thing you can always control — yourself. Come and find your breath, your body and your own agency.

Mobility & flexibility

Open the joints and muscles that daily life and training compress.

What you’ll build

Core stability & balance

Functional strength that carries over to every sport and activity.

Breath & body awareness

Move with intention and recover with purpose.

Tanya Evans

Vinyasa teacher · Professor of History

Tanya qualified as a vinyasa yoga teacher with Power Living in 2025 (200 HR). After decades of chasing heartrate highs through intense exercise she has learned the power of more mindful movement, strength and stability. She's also a Professor of History, a humanist, with expertise in family history, memory and life stories, with a particular interest in the history of fitness and yoga. Whether you're a gym regular looking to understand why muscle stability and joint alignment make you stronger, or a runner wanting to lengthen and protect your body from the demands of the road, Tanya brings both intellectual curiosity and lived experience to every class. In her classes Tanya hopes practitioners learn more about their bodies and minds, why they move the way they do, how they might move better and why self-study enables us to live more meaningful lives. Her wish for every practitioner is to find their sweet spot between effort and ease – Sthira and Sukha.

Kris Kehlet

Yoga with Kris – Move, Breathe, Flow

Kris’ class invites both movement and mindfulness. Focus is on flowing sequences, strength, gentle stretching and balance, creating a supportive space to feel active as well as slow down, breathe and reconnect with yourself. Kris Kehlet is a 200-hour certified yoga teacher, a Danish, Sydney-based yoga practitioner, illustrator and mother of two. She started her journey into energy work, mindfulness and body awareness when moving to Asia with her family in 2019, living in Vietnam and Thailand for the past six years.

Emily Saunders

Move with intention

Some call me Em, some call me Emily, and for 10 years yoga has created a space for me to come inwards even when the outside noise was getting louder. This space is an invitation for you all to take a moment, move with intention, and explore coming inwards before stepping back into the outside. Settle into a gentle yet empowering flow designed to help you reconnect with your breath, body, and inner self.
